The Sounds of Simplicity

I imagine that the majority of you are enjoying that blissful feeling of setting your email notification to “out of office” and preparing for festivities so this is just a quick note to say that I am taking a break over the next few weeks and will be back with my next post on 19 January.

One of the things I have been trying to get back to this year is simplicity (something I will write about in the new year) and in that spirit I am sharing a recording I made at the end of last year of Australian bird song, one of life's simple joys. If you can find ten minutes to spare, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, grab a wine if it is a bit later in the day, and sit back and have a listen. The stars of the show are the butcher birds but if anyone can identify the supporting cast then please drop the names in the comments.
