Earlier this year I signed a contract for a second book. After months of research the time has come to actually sit down at my desk, confront the blank screen and begin typing words, one by one, until I have somewhere near 70,000 of the little blighters.
This time I am telling the story of Eiji Kitagawa, an Anzac, and the first Australian soldier to be awarded the distinguished conduct medal at Gallipoli.
To do his story justice will require all of my effort so I have decided to take a break from Out of Office in order to meet my deadline. I will be back, I am just not sure when.
In the meantime, I leave you with something I wrote about my time running a Surf Foundation on the Pacific Coast of Colombia. You cannot get any more out of office than that. I wrote this a while back but I hope you enjoy it.
Good luck Ryan, I am sure it will be another big success.
What an amazing story. So beautifully written, scene and emotions... I could image and drawing picture while reading. But... my heart ached so much. Regretting reading in public space. You have done amazing Ryan. Really hope your friends are ok.
